Turtles Released on Isle of Palms

Loggerheads rescued last year released after rehabilitation.

ISLE OF PALMS — The South Carolina Aquarium today released two rehabilitated loggerhead turtles.

The turtles, named Hamlin Creek and Jammer, underwent roughly a year's worth of medical treatment at the aquarium's Sea Turtle Rescue Program. Both reptiles were near death when brought to the downtown Charleston facility.

The release of these two turtles follows the release of seven turtles earlier in May.

We were on vacation from Ohio and we watched the turtles. It was so great to be there and watch them go back to their "home."
