Pet Helpers Adopting Cats, Kittens at Half Price

Folly Road shelter seeing explosion in cat population.

Pet Helpers is offering all cats and kittens at half price for a limited time during its "Hot Summer, Cool Cats" campaign.

“Shelters are always overloaded during kitten and puppy season and our goal is for these cats to not grow up in our shelter but to find good homes,” Executive Director Kevin Ryan said. “Each animal that is adopted out, a space is made available at Pet Helpers and another life is saved.”

Pet Helpers is home to more than 120 cats ranging from 10-12 weeks all the way up to adult cats. The no-kill shelter’s cat adoption rate in April 2013 was 21 percent higher than it was in April 2012. The shelter is still brimming with felines and is anxious to find good homes for its furry friends.
