Oktoberfest 5K Run-Walk set for Thursday

Event benefits Toys for Tots.

The East Cooper Breakfast Rotary presents the Oktoberfest 5K Run-Walk, Thursday, Oct. 10th at 6 p.m. at Waterfront Memorial Park, Mount Pleasant (at the foot of the Ravenel Bridge). 

The Run-Walk, which will benefit Toys for Tots and the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, is an open, certified 5K course through the Patriot's Point area with splendid views of the Cooper River Bridge, Charleston Harbor and USS Yorktown. This evening race has a 500 participant cap so early registration is encouraged. Registration cost $25 from through Oct. 1st and includes: T-shirt, food, drinks, beer and Oktoberfest party.

After the race, the Oktoberfest party will include music by the German Connection Band and others, beer and other refreshments, food and prizes for the best Oktoberfest costumes. Party only tickets are available at $20 each.
