Carrier Classic to be Televised
Basketball tournament on USS Yorktown flight deck will broadcast nationally.
The Nov. 9 basketball tournament aboard the USS Yorktown flight deck will be broadcast nationally on the NBC Sports Network, according to WCBD-TV.
The event is being played on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown at the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant.
Organizers said Monday the men's game between Ohio State and Marquette will be aired live on the network at 7 p.m. Nov. 9, the TV station reports.

Organizers are staging the tournament on the Yorktown after a successful 2011 tournament on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson in Coronado, Calif. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama attended the event.
