Meeting Tonight on State of Mount Pleasant Schools

School system to brief town on state of local school system.

The Town of Mount Pleasant will hold a special Town Council meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 6 p.m. to receive information from the Charleston County School District regarding the state of education in Mount Pleasant.

Superintendent of Charleston County School District, Dr. Nancy McGinley, and other CCSD staff members will present information to Mayor Swails and Town Council and will respond to written comments and questions following the presentation. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to learn more about the state of education in Mount Pleasant.

The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Town of Mount Pleasant Municipal Complex located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

FREE child care will be available in the Town Hall gym for parents who wish to attend the meeting. Town Recreation staff and police officers will lead activities for the duration of the Town Council meeting. Parents may drop off children in the gym beginning at 5:30 p.m. The gym will remain open until all children have been picked up by their parents following the conclusion of the meeting.
