Parade of Homes Set for this Weekend

Nine Mount Pleasant properties open over two weekends for tours.

Nine housing developments in Mount Pleasant will be open to the public over two weekends starting Saturday during the Mount Pleasant Parade of Homes sponsored by Mount Pleasant Magazine.

The event comes as housing development east of the Cooper shakes loose from an economic recession that stifled the market for more than five years. In recent months, no less than 10 developments have started or re-started on home construction in the Mount Pleasant area.

Mount Pleasant Magazine, SCE&G and the Charleston Home Builders Association are teaming to sponsor the Parade of Homes, which features track and custom home builders, condominiums and communities. The developers open their doors to the public for two consecutive weekends: June 15 and 15 and June 22 and June 23.
