Thursday Road Closure Cancelled

Town says other closures still in place.

The closure of U.S. 17 at the intersection of Interstate 526 and Hungryneck Boulevard scheduled for this Thursday night has been cancelled, according to a town news release.

The placement of overhangs on the new Hungryneck/I-526 Bridge over U.S. 17 still needs to occur and will be scheduled for a later date.

The closure of Exit 29 from I-526 to Georgetown (U.S. 17 North) scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night remains in place.

A reminder of that closure is below:

Please be advised that I-526 Exit 29 to Georgetown (U.S. 17 North) will close nightly between 10:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning starting Monday, July 16 and continuing each week night until 5:30 in the morning of Friday, July 20. Drivers wanting to use this exit during these closures are asked to use Exit 28 and follow the detour signs to Hwy 17N.
