Mount Pleasant Debate Watch Parties

Locals plan events for first debate of 2012.

Democrats and Republicans are planning events for Wednesday's first debate of the 2012 Presidential election.

President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney square off in the first debate at 9 p.m. Wednesday. The match-up will air on network TV and on cable news stations, as well as online.

The candidates will discuss domestic policy at the University of Denver in a debate moderated by Jim Lehrer, host of the PBS News Hour.
