League of Women Voters Announces Election Forums

Schedule includes live streaming events at North Charleston City Hall.

With a little more than a month before election day, the League of Women Voters announced a set of Charleston County candidate forums for the month of October.

The six events will provide candidates an opportunity to speak to voters in their districts, including races for S.C. House District 114, County Council District 6, School Board, County Auditor, and U.S. House District 1. All active candidates will be invited to attend.

Forums for the School Board, Auditor, and U.S. House will be streamed live online at lwvcharleston.org and rebroadcast on Comcast 60.

According to League of Women Voters President Julie Hussey, forums were not scheduled for S.C. House District 115 and S.C. Senate District 41 because at least one of the candidates in each of those races refused to attend.
