IOP Council Seats Go Uncontested
Mayor's race is a rematch between 2009 opponents.
Isle of Palms voters hoping for a robust debate in November's city council race may be a bit disappointed.
IOPDaily.com reports that four candidates have qualified to run for four city council seats. Two are incumbents and two are newcomers. That means the council race is over before it even starts. Read more about the presumptive new councilmen.
And while the Mayor's race is contested, it's a rematch. Incumbent Mayor Dick Cronin and Ryan Buckhannon are the only two candidates to qualify to run for the office. The men faced off in 2009, according to IOPDaily.
