Tax Reform Town Hall

Join the Charleston Tea Party for a Tax Reform Town Hall on Tuesday, March 6th at Mt. Pleasant Town Hall.  ‘Tis the tax season, so what better time to bring up the topic of tax reform?  Our guest speaker is Donna Wiesner Keene, CEO of BrainTrain a business specializing in marketing and communicating political ideas and projects.  BrainTrain works with executives and lobbyists to propel ideas toward policymakers and ordinary citizens.  The town hall will be moderated by Kelly Golden, host of  94.3 WSC’s Charleston’s Morning News.   What do you think of the present tax system? Do you have any opinion of 9-9-9, FairTax,a  flat tax?  What about the proposals from each of the presidential  primary candidates?  Ms. Keene will address candidates’ plans as well as other tax reform proposals.  Bring your questions and opinions and be prepared for a lively discussion. Ms. Keene served in the Reagan and both Bush Administrations and is the Washington Liaison for TheTeaParty.net. In the 107th Congress, Ms. Keene lobbied for fundamental tax reform for the Coalition for Fundamental Tax Reform, a coalition she helped grow to represent more than 8 million citizens. In the second Bush Administration, she worked in disability policy from early intervention to helping rehabilitate the U.S. Department of Education. In the first Bush Administration, as Director of the Executive Secretariat for the Department, she represented the Secretary and Deputy Secretary on the Total Quality Management Task Force, and chaired the Information Technology Committee. She also served as a Reagan Administration Special Assistant for Intergovernmental Affairs
