Deadlines Set to Seek Town Office

Four council seats, mayor's office on the ballot.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in Mount Pleasant. Four council seats and the mayor's office will be on the ballot.

The Charleston County Board of Elections and Voter Registration has scheduled the Certification of the Town’s Election results for Thursday, November 7 at 10:30 a.m. A Special Town Council Meeting will be held to approve a Resolution accepting the results of the election shortly after the official results are received from Charleston County. That date and time will be announced at a later date.

Filing Period Opens: Noon, Thursday, August 15, 2013 
Filing Period Closes: Noon, Monday, August 26, 2013 
Filing Fee: $150.00

Hard copies of the necessary forms and information will be available for pick up on August 1 at Mount Pleasant Town Hall, 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Building A. Forms may also be obtained on the SC Election Commission Website: www.scvotes.org . A Statement of Economic Interest must be filed electronically with the SC Ethics Commission.
