New Council Sworn In

Two new councilmen and re-elected members sit at first meeting.

Two new faces took seats Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Town Council meeting.

Chris Nickels and Chris O'Neal, elected just a week ago in a municipal election, join Ken Glasson and Thomasena Stokes-Marshall, who were re-elected in the same election.

The council swearing-in ceremony was held Tuesday at the start of the council's regular meeting.

The council unanimously elected Stokes-Marshall, its longest currently serving member as its mayor pro-tem.

The council had a relatively routine agenda with two annexation questions and a handful of procedural and zoning votes on the agenda.
