Vice President Joe Biden is reportedly in town this evening raising money for the president's re-election campaign.
The Post and Courier reports that Biden will dine along with 10 guests at the swanky Charleston Place Hotel. Tickets reportedly sold for $36,000 a person.
A DNC official said state party Chairman Dick Harpootlian is among the 10 people invited to attend the dinner to benefit the Obama Victory Fund. Guests are asked to arrive about 5 p.m.

The vice president's travel plans were not announced, but afternoon security is expected to be tight throughout the area as he makes his way into downtown Charleston.
