Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect

Venning Road convenience store robbed at gunpoint Monday evening.

Mount Pleasant police are searching for an armed gunman who held up the Venning Road Refuel gas station Monday evening.

The robbery occurred around 8:14 p.m. when an unknown black male suspect entered the store at 1181 Venning Road and presented a firearm to the clerk, said police Maj. Stan Gragg. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect fled the store on foot and is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 200 pounds, according to police. 

The Mount Pleasant Police Department is requesting anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity, or information related to this incident, to please contact detectives at 843-884-4176. 

This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, Gragg said.
