Missing Teen Returns Home

Girl returns home after nearly three weeks on her own.

A Mount Pleasant 16-year-old missing since July 7 returned home on Saturday, according to police.

Autumn Marie Ellison was reported as a runaway by her family roughly two weeks after she left home and had no contact. Now that she's home, she may face criminal charges, according to the girl's father, who had been posting about the situation on Facebook.

"In (South Carolina) it is against the law to run away and now has to deal with these issues," the man posted.

"When she came home all we could do was hug her and love on her and tell her how much we love her and nothing would ever change that but now she has to face her consequences and she realizes that. We are praying that this is a life lesson for her and are getting her the help she needs."
