Man Attacked With Butcher Knife

Report: Mount Pleasant man suffers bloody attack.

A Mount Pleasant man needed 12 stitches to close up a large wound he suffered after allegedly getting into an argument with his roommate, according to police reports.

It happened June 11 at Harbor Pointe Apartment off Houston Northcutt Blvd. just after 2 a.m. When police arrived, they found the man covered in blood outside the apartment, according to reports. Inside the home, nearly every room had blood stains.

The victim, a 41-year-old Chinese immigrant who spoke no English, told police through an interpreter that his roommate was responsible for the injuries. Both men work at the China East restaurant off Houston Northcutt Blvd.

Police believe the victim was attacked with a butcher knife, according to the report. Though his injuries were severe, the victim told police he was not sure if he would press criminal charges against his roommate.
