The Mount Pleasant Police Department has released a road closure schedule for the upcoming Saturday, March 31 Cooper River Bridge Run. It is important to note that this schedule is subject to change to account for the safety of pedestrians and personnel.
5:45 a.m. – Closure of Coleman Blvd. (from Whilden to Simmons @ starting line area)
6:15 a.m. – Pedestrian lane closed southbound
6:30 a.m. – Closure of Coleman Blvd. (from Chuck Dawley to Simmons @ staging area)
7:00 a.m. – Coleman Blvd Completely closed from Chuck Dawley to Ravenel Bridge (Ravenel Bridge closed on both directions)
7:30 a.m. – Wheelchair race and busses stop
8:00 a.m. – Main Race begins (staggered starts every 3 minutes for approximately 40 minutes)
10:00 a.m. – Portions of Coleman reopen as safety allows
10:00 a.m. – Expect diversions around Simmons St. as starting line is removed and expect congestion on Chuck Dawley as busses continue to bring back participants
10:30 a.m. – Contingent time of opening Ravenel Bridge both directions as personnel clears (subject to change)
1:00 p.m. – Chuck Dawley should return to normal, final personnel released.
