Body Found at Salt Grass Pointe

Mount Pleasant Police are investigating a body found this evening in a pond.

Mount Pleasant Police are investigating what they characterize as a "possible body in a pond" found tonight at Salt Grass Pointe.

Maj. Stan Gragg said shortly after 5 p.m. today, officers responded to 825 Marshgrass Avenue.

A deceased middle-aged white female was recovered.

She did not have any observable signs of trauma. Identification and cause of death is pending an autopsy, which is scheduled for Thursday morning.
