How’s it made: Grown on a family farm in California, Olinda Olives and Olive Oil are sold by a South Carolina couple who reside in the Lowcountry. The olive oil is cold-pressed and unfiltered. It has low acidity and better taste, Olinda claims.

The company sells three varities of olives locally, but has several varieties for sale on its website.

Where can you find it: Olinda Olives and Olive Oil regularly attends farmers markets in the area, including the Tuesday market in Mount Pleasant. They also sell their products online.

Local Finds is a regular feature on Mount Pleasant Patch. If you see locally made foods or fresh items, let us know: adam.crisp@patch.com.

I bought the Olinda Brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It is insipid. It has no taste except an old taste. The only use for it is as a supplement for my dogs.
