Mount Pleasant Baseball Academy Enjoying Great Success

Opening a baseball training facility in an area that has developed high school and college baseball all-stars seemed like a natural choice for owner Tim Gansrow who excelled on the collegiate field and as a coach.

The Mount Pleasant resident has opened Pro Performance Baseball Academy training facility on Wando Park Blvd. within the popular Velocity Sports Performance Training Center.

Gansrow has already made an impression with the residents in Mount Pleasant as one of the most popular instructors in the area for players of all ages for youth, travel and high school baseball and fastpitch softball.

Tim was a solid all-around baseball player in college, excelling at hitting and fielding. With his passion for the game, Tim went on to a position as hitting instructor on the collegiate level.

Tim's path first led him to become a police officer and first responder. After 20 years of service as a New York Police Department Supervisor and FBI task force lead for terrorism, Tim, his wife Tracy, and their three children settled in Mount Pleasant.

Tim then faced an even greater challenge in cancer. After winning that battle after years of chemotherapy, Tim had an epiphany to return to his true love, baseball.

With hundreds of young players now attending Pro Performance Baseball Academy in such a short time, the future looks exciting for developing young players into the best they can be, he said.

“We recently added camps for April 3-5 and summer camps held at Mount Pleasant Recreation during the week of July 22nd and with Daniel Island Recreation during the week of July 8th to keep up with the demand,” said Gansrow.
