Farmers Market Returns Next Month

Despite chilly temps, spring is here and so is Mount Pleasant's Farmer's Market.

Save the Date for the opening of the much-awaited Mount Pleasant Farmers Market on April 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Moultrie Middle School! Admission and parking are free.

The market is the perfect place to buy fresh, locally grown produce. The family-friendly event has become a gathering place for locals and has inspired the market’s catchy logo “Get Fresh with the Locals!”

At the heart of the market are two large pavilions housing farmers and food vendors, an open-air plaza, plenty of green space, magnificent live oaks, and seating areas.

“Plan to spend a couple of hours exploring the market’s treasure trove of fruits, vegetables, flowers, preserves, dips, breads, pies, and other treats. Savor a fresh meal by one of our food vendors and enjoy live music and children’s activities,” said Market Manager Tracy Richter.

“Also available for your assistance are the Clemson Extension Master Gardeners. These seasoned volunteers can help solve most pesky gardening problems. You’ll also find community information from the Town of Mount Pleasant and various other non-profit organizations. Make the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market a weekly affair,” she added.
