Weekend Event Celebrates Mac and Cheese

Local chefs head to Mac Off on Saturday at The Grove at Patriots Point.

Do you love mac and cheese? If so, this event is for you! A Snappy Event is offering up the best mac and cheese competition in the United States with the 2013 MAC-OFF on Oct. 12, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., at The Grove, Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant. Local chefs will be whipping up their best creations all day long with the title winners bringing home bragging rights for the year.

Enjoy this family affair with an epic lineup of entertainment for everyone to enjoy starting with a 300-ft zip line through the center of The Grove. Surrounding the grounds will be corn hole and bocce, a pumpkin patch, a kids’ section, live performances by local bands and homemade pasta cooking demonstrations.

General admission tickets are $20 and include 10 tasting tickets; Double the Cheesy tickets are $30 and include two general admission tickets and 20 tasting tickets. VIP tickets are available to purchase for $50. The EventWorks VIP Experience will include a VIP entrance, all inclusive samples and drinks, a tented area with comfortable seating and decor, two exclusive bars, and entertainment to enjoy the day. Tickets are being sold in advance at www.asnappyevent.com and at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lowcountry Local First.
