Weekend Closures for busy Hwy. 17 Interchange

Nighttime closures of Hwy. 17 and I-526 as bridge work continues.

The intersection of US 17 /I-526 exit 29/ and Hungryneck Boulevard will be closed from 10:30 pm on Friday, February 1st until 7:30 am on Saturday, February 2nd and then again from 10:30 Saturday night until 9:00 am on Sunday, February 3rd.

The closures of this intersection detours all US 17 traffic, Hungryneck Boulevard traffic between US 17 and Venning Road, the I-526 Exit Ramp onto US 17, and the ramp from US 17 onto I-526.

These nightly closures are necessary to paint the girders for the bridge over the intersection.  When weather conditions (rain or extremely cold temperatures) are not conducive to painting, the nightly closures are being shifted to a following night. Please know, every effort is being made to complete these interchange improvements in a timely fashion with as little inconvenience to the traveling public as possible.  Thank you for your patience.
