Mount Pleasant officially welcomed five new firefighters into the department this week with a pinning ceremony before the Mount Pleasant Town Council.
The new firefighters have been on the job for some time, but the department does not pin the emergency workers until they are on the job for six months.
The five new firefighters come from all over the country, and one is actually returning after leaving the department for a number of years.
