Rep. Tim Scott Rallies Faithful at Take Back 2012

Tim Scott had every excuse to be tired. Arguably, the most in-demand Republican in the state, if not the country, Scott had a full week back at work in Washington as the Representative of South Carolina’s 1st District. He didn’t get much rest during recess, as he appeared as a speaker at the GOP convention in Tampa, was part of the Republicans’ counter-programming at the Democratic convention in Charlotte and continued the planning for his second Revitalizing America Conference in October.
But when Scott bounded on stage as the last featured speaker at the Take Our Country Back Rally in Greenville, he shook off any fatigue that might have still been clinging to him and energized the hundreds in the crowd with another round of “Hit the Road, Jack.”
Prior to his remarks, Scott spoke with Patch about expanding the message of the Tea Party, being named to the Black Leadership Council by presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and how he keeps his energy despite a relentless schedule.
