Patriots Point Records 9 Millionth Visitor

Patriots Point on Thursday reached a milestone when it welcomed its 9 millionth guest since opening in 1976. David Matney and his family from Bristol, Tenn., were the winners of a prize package worth more than $2,500. The Mount Pleasant naval and maritime museum expects roughly 250,000 a visitors per year over the next four years, which means guest No. 10 million will come sometime in 2017.
