One day after a congenial debate where 16 GOP candidates did little to emphasize their differences, Elizabeth Moffly, the only female in the Republican field, minced few words in an ad called "Good Ol' Boys."

The ad, narrated by Moffly, is appearing on radio and does not mention any of the other candidates by name. But a video version points to the personal and political, while criticizing:

  • Former Gov. Mark Sanford for not keeping his promise of term limits.
  • Teddy Turner for allegedly having an affair on his wife.
  • Sen. Larry Grooms for rewarding his donors.
  • Curtis Bostic for increasing spending while serving on the Charleston County Council.
  • John Kuhn for blocking a bill about Internet predators while serving in the SC Senate.
  • Rep. Chip Limehouse for claiming his email was hacked by Attorney General Eric Holder.

What do you think of the ad?

RF, I'm fairly confident all of the campaigns (not just Moffly's) were aware of what she brings up in this commercial, since they're in the public domain.

Elizabeth Moffly is a lightweight who is trying to advance herself by bringing the other more qualified candidates down.

I think it's pretty funny.

I like Moffly and in person she seems like a knowledgable and friendly person.... however she doesn't seem ready for a race of this magnitude. She seems disinterested at public events, dismissing questions and giving passive remarks.

I don't know who's running and I don't live in Charleston County or the First District, but I am SURE you people can find someone who is better than Sanford. He's embarrassed South Carolina and his family and needs to quietly disappear into the night. We deserve better than this, South Carolinians. Have you no pride? Are you really going to stoop THIS low?

While it was wrong and an embarrassment what Sanford did, he still brought SC Boeing and has the most proven fiscally conservative record. Due to his seniority, he can go in as a senior member and potentially be chairing committees. He is most qualified candidate to make a difference in Washington.
