May 16 is Osborne’s birthday, and was proclaimed an official day in Charleston to celebrate her many contributions to the Charleston community, local children’s charities and the toy industry.

“This day is not about me – I want this day to be about the magic of giving," Osborne said. "We just hope people take the time and give back to someone else. Whether you help out an elderly couple in the neighborhood by walking their dog, or whether you bring food to Crisis Ministries or the local animal shelter, we just encourage that you pay it forward in some way.

"You don’t have to give something either; just sharing kind words with someone can make a huge impact on their day," Osborne said.
